Yes, Magnar supports retroactive terminations.
To process one:
Go to the Exit Process page and set the employee’s Stop Date to their actual last working day.
Then, navigate to Employee Exit, select the payroll period in which the employee should have exited, and generate the payroll.
The system will calculate their leave balance and End of Service (EOS) settlement based on the specified stop date, not their current balance—ensuring an accurate retroactive calculation.
Important Note:
Retroactive terminations can only be processed if the relevant payroll periods have not been posted. Once a payroll period is posted, you cannot revert the system to a previous period to make changes. Therefore, ensure that no posted periods exist if you intend to carry out a retroactive termination.
