Can I pay an employee for a retroactive leave?

Yes, you can. To process a retroactive leave:

  1. Create the leave transaction using the original date the leave was taken. The system will automatically include the payment in the next payroll period.

  2. If the system does not allow you to create the leave for a past date, follow these steps:

    • Go to Company Configurations and enable “Allow Leave Transaction In Processed Period.”

    • Then, navigate to Leaves, select the relevant leave type, click on the three dots to the right, and choose “Edit.”

    • Enable the setting “Enable Past Date Leave Request.”

Once these options are turned on, you'll be able to enter and process retroactive leave transactions.
