Why You Get “Effective From Should Be Greater Than Its Current Value” Error?

This error occurs because the “Effective From” field in the employee’s profile reflects the start date of their current position.


When updating the employee’s position, the system requires a new “Effective From” date that is later than the current one—indicating the date the employee is assumed to have started the new position.


To resolve the error, simply update the “Effective From” field to reflect the correct start date of the new role.
