The worker is entitled to a gratuity for the served fraction of a year, provided that he completes one year of continuous service.

The end of service gratuity is calculated based on a predefined configuration in the EOS setup.

EOS Setup

Go to organization >> EOS setup to open the setup form:

Entitlement rates is calculated based on the employee type, when employee type is selected the configured values will be displayed with ability for editing.

The example in the previous figure shows an entitlement of 21 days on each completed year for employees who has spent less than 5 years and 30 days for employees who have exceeded the 5 years. You can add more lines based on the governmental rules.

Termination Reasons

The EOS entitlement amount on termination is calculated based on the type of termination.

The termination reasons are used to specify the types of termination of the users (Termination Request) where you can specify the entitlement factor on each one. If the employee is terminated and the reason is resignation with “entitlement” equals to 100 then he will receive 100% of his EOS entitlement amount. If the entitlement is 50, this means that the he will receive 50% of his final entitlement.

EOS Calculation

The EOS calculation can be handled as the output of EOS plugin.

Monthly Provision

On regular payroll, the output of the plugin is the provision amount of the EOS till the processing period. The calculation will be the current (Total EOS amount x Daily rate) – (EOS opening balance + Summation of previous provision amounts). Note: The amount has currency unit.

EOS Amount

On employee termination the plugin calculates the total entitlement days based on the setup mentioned before multiplied by the entitlement factor. Note: the result amount unit is days.
