Rejoin Request

Modified on Thu, 17 Aug 2023 at 12:28 PM

A rejoin from leave request in Magnar ESS refers to a request made by an employee to return to work after annual  leave. This type of request is submitted through Magnar ESS, and is routed to the appropriate HR personnel or Manager for approval.

This also supports cancelling the leave as well as returning earlier that planned.

In some cases, company policy dictates that the employee will not get his salary processed until he submits a rejoin request and its approved.

To submit a rejoin request follow the below steps

  • Expand the ESS Menu
  • Select ESS Services
  • Click on Expense Request
  • Click on New

  • Select the Annual leave and the rejoin date
  • press Submit for approval

In case of Normal Annual Leave :
- If Rejoin Date is the same as the leave start date , the leave will be cancelled and balance will be returned.
- If the Rejoin Date is earlier that the planned rejoin date the leave balance difference will be returned
- In case leave resumption is activated , the employee can rejoin after the planned date and the days missed will be considered as unpaid (Cutoff days).

In case of Offcycle Annual Leave (Applicable to Kuwait & KSA) :
- If Rejoin Date is the same as the leave start date , the leave will be cancelled and balance will be not be returned.
- If the Rejoin Date is earlier that the planned rejoin date the leave balance difference will not be returned
- In case the employee rejoins after the planned date, the days missed will be considered as unpaid (Cutoff days).

Note: if the leave is cancelled the user will not be able to apply a leave within the same time frame of the cancelled leave. To allow the same the user needs ti request from HR delete the cancelled leave from back office.
