Leave Request

To request a leave follow the below steps



  • Expand the ESS Menu
  • Select ESS Services
  • Select Leave Request
  • Click on +New
  • Select the Leave Type
  • Select  From Date
    (From Date can be any date in the past or Future)
Select To Date 
(To Date to should be greater than From Date)
Add any Remark (Optional)
Press Submit to send for approval


Leave Request Screen

  1. Select the Leave Type. 
  2. The status will always show the approval process status. (In process, Approved, Rejected, Closed).
  3. The From Date is the First Day of your leave.
  4. The To Date is the last day of your leave.
  5. Number of days are the number of leave days (Depending on leave setup they can be either calculated based on calendar days or working days.
  6. Number of leave hours (Only applicable if the number of days is one)
  7. Submission date is the date the leave request is submitted
  8. Offcycle leave is applicable in special cases where the company has to pay the leave in advance along with the woking days salary. (This is mainly used in countries like Saudi Arabia , Kuwait and UAE)
  9. Remarks added to the leave request and will be shown to approvers.
  10. Attachment is any documents that can be added to the request.


Fields Specific to Annual Leave 


When Requesting an Annual Leave the screen displays more information related to annual leave

 Number of Leave accrued (Available) as per Leave Date                     Number of Days available as per end of leave year.

 if From Date is in the past the field displays annual leave as of Today


Fields Specific to Non Annual Leave

  • .  Consumed Days after the last renewal.                                              Renewal period.(Can be yearl , monthly or weekly)
