Menu Configuration

Left menu in Magnar is editable, you can change the location of the menu items for both ESS and Payroll per company and you can also add new menu items (External and Internal).


Add New Item

Magnar offer the ability to extend the menu by adding new items to the default one. To add new menu node, go to Left Menu and select menu to open the management console:

 

In order to create an external menu item, you have to select “Add New Item” from the “Menu” drop down list to open a new record where you can apply the item title and the URL. If the new item is internal then you have to apply the destination URL excluding the company and organization id’s ex: if you want to add a new URL for the create employee form with the default URL https://magnar.cloudtaktiks.com:1990/51/64/payroll/employee/create”, you have to enter “/payroll/employee/create”.




Edit Menu Items

You can edit the current menu items by changing their location or hide them in a company, which means that if a menu item is moved from one location to another in a specific company, this change will only applied in that company.

  • Edit Menu Item: IN order to edit the default menu items you need to select first the menu scope (Payroll, ESS), then the menu items will be loaded in the “Menu” drop down list.

Select the required menu and it will be displayed below as a record with edit option. You can change the parent and save and then you will find that the managed item has been moved under the newly selected parent

  • You can also hide any menu by selecting it then check “Hide” and save.
